The geographical significance, historical privilege and the economy is an additional conceit to the city. Tourist places at Coimbatore are Adiyogi Shiva- Dhyanalinga, Gedee Car Museum, Kovai Kutralam Water Falls. Ooty, Coonoor, Vaalparai, Palakkad, Siruvani Waterfalls, Topslip are the nearby tourist spots.


Sri Shakthi Institute of Engineering and Technology (SSIET) was established in the year 2006 by our Honourable Chairman S. Thangavelu of Thiru Sengoda Gounder Education and Charitable Trust with the aim of providing quality higher education on par with international standards. From its humble beginning, the institution has grown to a premier educational institution with the approval of All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi, and is affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. SSIET is accredited by NAAC with ‘A’ Grade and NBA. Further, SSIET is granted AUTONOMOUS from the year 2019 by UGC. The primary vision of the institute is to impart technical knowledge and skills to the students in accordance with the needs of the industry by producing technologically superior and ethically strong engineers to transform life as a whole. The College offers 10 UG courses leading to B.E and B.Tech degrees and also 5 PG courses leading to M.E degrees. The College has well qualified, experienced and dedicated faculty and supporting staff, state-of-the art laboratory, library and information centre, seminar hall and round the clock Internet facilities on campus.


The department of ECE was started during 2006. The departments offers 4 year Under graduate (UG) and 2 years Post graduation (PG) programme in M.E., VLSI and Embedded Systems. The student intake for UG programme is 180 (ECE), 24 (VLSI and Embedded Systems). The UG programme is accredited by NBA and the departments are recognized as research centres by Anna University, Chennai. The undergraduate degree courses offered by the departments provide a comprehensive foundation in the core topics of ECE coupled with areas of specialization relevant to emerging engineering challenges. The departments has highly-qualified and experienced faculty members, state-of-the-art facilities and the extensive industry-academia interaction serve to make engineering education a unique and enriching experience that shapes the future of the industry.


The International Conference on Electrical, Electronics and Communication Technology (ICEECT) 2022 aims at exploring the new horizon on innovations in the fields of Electrical, electronics and Communication Engineering from distinguished researchers, eminent professionals from academia and industry to address new trends and challenges and emerging technologies in materials engineering. This event will be a platform to showcase and deliberate research work, studies and contributions consisting of keynotes, lectures given by eminent personalities and stakeholders. The ICEECT -2022 event will help participants to sharpen their skills and refine their ideas as well as approaches by meeting with their peers and counterparts. It provides a major forum for the exchange of information among practicing professionals from all over the world.
